Sammy and Lorrie led the way to the altar

Stars tied the knot in 2001 in ceremonies ranging from the sumptuous to simple.  In the most lavish, Sammy Kershaw and Lorrie Morgan united Sept. 29 before 250 family members and friends at a Nashville Catholic church, followed by a bountiful reception at Sammy's farm.  Lorrie was the picture of elegance in an off-white, Italian-made dress, while Sammy was handsome in a white tux and boots.  "Everything was so beautiful," gushed Lorrie after the ceremony.  "It was the wedding I've always wanted."

Martie Seidel of the Dixie Chicks, Darryl Worley and Chalee Tennison opted for smaller, but no less happy, weddings.  Martie married Irish school teacher Gareth Maguire on Aug. 10, in a small ceremony in Kailua, Hawaii, attended by a handful of friends.  Both bride and groom were barefoot for the occasion.

Darryl and longtime girlfriend Beverly Dean Irvin also took the casual route, marrying May 12 on the courthouse steps in Darryl's hometown of Savannah, Tenn.  Chalee said her "I Dos" to musician Mark Gillespie on Nov. 10, in a private ceremony in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., with 50 family members and close friends on hand.

Also, "Laredo" hunk Chris Cagle walked down the aisle with his "first love," Elizabeth Filer on Sept. 10 in Houston.
