Dixie Chick singer Natalie Maines has made her movie debut in a new independent film called Grand Champion, which is currently looking for a distributor to get it into theaters. She played a Texas radio deejay, and her co-stars are Julia Pretty Woman Roberts and Bruce Die Hard Willis. Natalie told Hollywood columnist Marilyn Beck that being in front of the camera was "one of the highest-anxiety things" she's ever done - and that she and superstar Roberts became chummy on the set.
