The mega-selling Dixie Chicks are used to making musical history. But now the hard, sweaty work of Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines goes into another kind of record book. The first-ever "celebrity edition" of The Learning Channel's popular remodeling show Trading Spaces - featuring Natalie - was the cable network's top prime-time episode of all time. In fact, the show beat several of the major broadcast networks in the Saturday night time slot.
In the ratings-record segment, Natalie and her mother, sister and cousin teamed up with Trading Spaces designers to redecorate two rooms in Austin, Texas. Natalie paired up with her cousin, Stephanie Maines, and designer Hilda Santo-Tomas to tackle a makeover of her mom's loft/multipurpose room Natalie's mother, Tina Maines, and sister Kim Maguire, worked with designer Vern Yip to redo Natalie's guest room.
